Anil Dhawan, the senior versatile actor who has had a vast career in movies will soon enter Colors’ newly launched show, Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop (Rashmi Sharma Productions).
Roop the show that questions sensitivities of a patriarchal society that decides how men and women ought to behave has fared well at the ratings chart in its opening weeks.
The senior actor will enter the show as Roop’s (Affan Khan) maternal grandfather.
As per a credible source, “He will play father to Kamla, essayed by Mitali Naag.”
When contacted, Anil Dhawan confirmed the news to IWMBuzz.com saying, “Yes, I have started shooting for the show. I play the nana of Roop; the character is positive, soft and honest.”
We buzzed the channel spokesperson but did not get through to them for a comment.
