The reality game show has been creating curiosity with its unique format that tests contestants on logic, reasoning, observation and common sense rather than conventional general knowledge.
The show brings together 100 contestants who compete through a series of increasingly challenging questions. As the competition progresses, participants need to think quickly and carefully to stay in the game. The ultimate prize pool can go up to ₹1 crore, adding another layer of excitement to the format.
While the questions remain at the heart of India Ke Top 1%, Anil Kapoor’s presence adds plenty of entertainment to the show. Known for his spontaneous personality, the veteran actor has been seen interacting with contestants, sharing personal anecdotes and adding his trademark humour to different moments on the show.
In one of the recent episodes, a conversation around the film Queen and travelling alone led Anil Kapoor to open up about his wife Sunita Kapoor. He fondly referred to her as his “Queen” and shared an interesting anecdote about their honeymoon, leaving viewers amused by his candid revelation.
Another memorable moment involved Vishal, a food delivery partner and contestant on the show. When Vishal spoke about his dream of experiencing a meal at a five-star hotel, Anil Kapoor was touched by his wish and promised to personally take him out for the experience.
The show is produced by Banijay Asia in association with BBC Studios, which has adapted the popular international format The 1% Club for Indian audiences.
India Ke Top 1% also marks another reality television outing for Anil Kapoor following his stint as the host of Bigg Boss OTT 3 in 2024. With the actor bringing his own personality into the format, the show combines the thrill of a competition with plenty of entertaining interactions.
As another weekend arrives, Anil Kapoor is ready to take centre stage once again, bringing more questions, surprises, laughter and candid moments for viewers. With the competition getting tougher and contestants battling to prove they belong among India’s top thinkers, the upcoming episode promises another entertaining weekend watch.
