The BARC India Ratings released today, 30 April 2026, for Week 16, sees an overall drop in the ratings of TV shows. Probably the IPL effect has set in now with big clashes happening on the cricket field!! However, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Star Plus) takes the No 1 spot, albeit a drop in ratings, with a TVR of 1.8 this week. Zee TV’s Vasudha also drops, but retains its No 2 spot with a TVR of 1.7 along with the other Zee TV show, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan.
Star Plus’ Anupamaa also witnesses a drop and secures a TVR of 1.6. Zee TV show Tumm Se Tumm Tak is also having a TVR of 1.6 this week. Star Plus shows Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Udne Ki Aasha get a TVR of 1.5. Colors TV’s Naagin 7 drops further to a TVR of 1.4.
Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Colors TV’s Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment Season 3, and Zee TV’s Jagadhatri stay united with a TVR of 1.3. Star Plus’ Mr & Mrs Parshuram, Zee TV’s Lakshmi Niwas and the Colors TV shows Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki and Dr Aarambhi stay joint with a TVR of 1.2.
Colors TV’s Mangal Lakshmi Desh Ki Beti gets a TVR of 1.1. Star Plus’ new launch O Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera, opens at a TVR of 1.1. Colors TV shows Mahadev & Sons and Seher Hone Ko Hai get a TVR of 1.0.
Colors TV’s Tu Juliet Jatt Di gets a TVR of 0.9. Star Plus’ show Advocate Anjali Awasthi drops further to a TVR of 0.8. Colors TV’s Do Duniya Ek Dil sees a drastic drop to 0.6 TVR. Sony SAB’s show Hui Gumm Yaadein also sees a drop with 0.5 TVR.
Overall, the IPL fever is setting in slowly, and its effect is being felt on the ratings of TV shows. From the top-rated shows to the average-rated shows, there is a dip in ratings registered this week. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi still leads the ratings chart. Zee TV shows Vasudha, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, Tumm Se Tumm Tak hold their grounds. Naagin 7 further drops. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Udne Ki Aasha, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Mr & Mrs Parshuram, Tu Juliet Jatt Di, Advocate Anjali Awasthi, Do Duniya Ek Dil, Seher Hone Ko Hai, Hui Gumm Yaadein struggle. The most surprising aspect is that the Star Plus new launch O Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera has got an average opening, lower than Lakshmi Niwas on Zee TV, and Dr Aarambhi on Colors TV on the same slot.
