The BARC India Ratings released today, 6 March 2026, for Week 8, continue to show a dip in ratings of most of the TV shows across GECs. The T20 cricket fever has a strong hold on viewers, especially with the competition in the semi-final stage of the tournament. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Star Plus) continues its good run at the top, being the only show to have a TVR of 2.0. Zee TV’s Tumm Se Tumm Tak surpasses Anupamaa, and this is one new change we have seen this week. Tumm Se Tumm Tak takes home a TVR of 1.9, while Anupamaa (Star Plus) shares honours with Zee TV’s Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan with a TVR of 1.8. Closely behind are shows Vasudha (Zee TV) and Udne Ki Aasha (Star Plus).

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) and Naagin 7 (Colors TV) have to settle with a TVR of 1.6. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Sony SAB) drops further to a TVR of 1.5. Zee TV’s Lakshmi Niwas increases to get a TVR of 1.5. Colors TV’s Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment Season 3 sees a drop to get a 1.4 TVR. Star Plus’ Mr & Mrs Parshuram also gets a TVR of 1.4. Colors TV’s Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki gets a TVR of 1.3. Zee TV’s Jagadhatri rises a bit to get a TVR of 1.3.

Star Plus’ Aarti Anjali Awasthi gets a TVR of 1.2 along with Colors TV shows Dr Aarambhi and Tu Juliet Jatt Di. Colors TV’s Mahadev & Sons and Star Plus’ Jhanak get a TVR of 1.1. Zee TV’s Saru, Colors TV shows Mangal Lakshmi – Lakshmi Ka Safar, Mangal Lakshmi, and Seher Hone Ko Hai get a TVR of 1.0.

Overall, the weight of the cricketing season shows yet again on TV shows this week. Big shows like Anupamaa and Naagin 7 have seen a drop, while a few shows like Tumm Se Tumm Tak, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, and Lakshmi Niwas have sustained the competition and fared better. Shows Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Mangal Lakshmi, Seher Hone Ko Hai, Saru, Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, Aarti Anjali Awasthi have been terribly hit by the competition across channels and also by the competition coming from cricket.
