Actor Aasif Khan, known for Panchayat and Mirzapur, opened up about his sudden departure from the Bigg Boss 20 house. Evicted during the latest high-octane Weekend Ka Vaar episode after receiving fewer votes, the actor shared about his journey, gameplay, and more.
Early Eviction
When asked about his early eviction, Aasif chose to focus entirely on the positive side of his reality television stint. He emphasized he stayed in the house for eight weeks, which is a great deal. He noted that in a 3-month show, he survived for 2 months. Aasif stated he feels incredibly proud of his overall journey and gameplay.
Addressing viewer opinions on whether his overall contribution fell short compared to co-contestants like Uditi Singh or Manish Goel, Aasif clarified, “My input was never less than anyone else’s.”
He emphasized that safety inside the house often relies more on nomination luck than on active daily gameplay.
He explained, “But the reality of this format is simple—if weaker contestants manage to evade the weekly nomination block, they survive. I can openly say that among the five nominated housemates last week, Aamrapali Dubey was the weakest link. I don’t see any strong, visible game from Uditi or Manish either.”
Speaking on Uditi Singh or Manish Goel’s gameplay, he said, “They survived simply because they weren’t nominated. On the other hand, I am genuinely happy that I went up against the strongest players in the house and accepted the audience’s verdict with grace.”
In a surprising revelation about his preparation for the show, Aasif said, “I didn’t hire any PR nor did I launch any aggressive pre-planned social media campaigns before entering. I didn’t even have luxury designers styling me; I literally bought my own clothes for the show.”
Solo Game Plan After Host Feedback
Earlier in the season, Aasif’s close alliance with popular streaming creators ScoutOP and Yung DSA won significant fan love. However, following constructive feedback received during a Weekend Ka Vaar session, the actor consciously distanced himself from the group to play independently.
Aasif called his decision right, saying he initially didn’t understand the game and that living in the house isn’t easy. He said, “Once I received that external feedback, I knew playing a completely solo game was the correct, much-needed step for my growth inside the show.”
