Synonymous with playing Lord Indra on television, Meer Ali will now take on the role in Sony SAB’s mythological presentation, Ganesh Kartikeya. Produced by Peninsula Pictures, Meer has taken over the role of Lord Indra from Karan Suchak, who has played the part until now.

For the uninitiated, Meer has played the role of Lord Indra six times earlier, which puts across the perception that he is the blessed one for the divine role. His earlier outings as Lord Indra were in shows such as Vighnaharta Ganesh, RadhaKrishn, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, Tulsidham Ke Laddu Gopal, Shrimad Ramayan, and Veer Hanuman. Meer was last seen on TV in the role of Lord Chandra in Colors TV’s successful mythological, Shiv Shakti Tap Tyaag Tandav.

Ganesh Kartikeya, which is presently depicting the stories of Ashtavinayak, has recently seen many exciting entries, in Sejal Jaiswal, Piyali Munsi, Indraneel Bhattacharya and others.

For Meer, donning the role of Lord Indra has become a ritual. He has played the role so many times that it looks as though he is the chosen one by Lord Indra for the role.

Meer Ali talks about the ‘different approach’ to filming in Veer Hanuman

And to make it different every time, Meer puts in his sincere efforts, and says, “On a personal level, I try to give the character a bit of freshness, and play it differently each time I portray.”
