The past decade saw many fearless and fabulous women characters on TV. Though there isn’t any doubt that we still have miles to go, these actresses have not only rocked one character but they have impressed us with double roles in their respective TV shows.
TV also saw a new trend wherein a particular actress played the role of a mother and a daughter. Playing double roles have become inevitable and viewers too get entertained with such intriguing plots. Here is a list of actresses who essayed both daughter and mother’s roles in their shows.
Mouni Roy: Naagin 1 was the most successful season. In the series, Mouni played the role of Shivanya and then in the second season, she returned as her daughter Shivangi, who was unaware of her reality. Be it Shivanya or Shivangi, Mouni aced in both roles.
Tinaa Dattaa: The actress was seen in a double role in the TV show Uttaran. Tinaa played the role of Iccha, and then her daughter, Meethi. She managed to pull off both characters.
Kanika Mann: The diva essayed the lead role of Guddan in Zee TV’s show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. In the show, her on-screen chemistry with actor Nishant Singh Malkani aka Akshat Jindal was appreciated the most. After 20 years leap, Kanika was seen essaying the role of Choti Guddan, daughter of AJ and Guddan.
Surbhi Jyoti: Surbhi played different characters in Qubool Hai show. Initially, Surbhi essayed the role of Zoya, later on, she played the role of twin daughters Saman and Seher.
Ankita Lokhande: Actress essayed the role of a sanskari bahu and wife, Archana, in Pavitra Rishta. Post the leap, Ankita essayed the role of Archana as well as her granddaughter.
Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia: The young actress recently entertained masses as Meher in Colors TV show Choti Sarrdaarni. After the big leap, Nimrit is now seen essaying the role of grown-up Seher.
