Maharashtra govt issues guidelines for shoot to begin, cameras to roll soon

In some good news coming in, it seems that shooting will finally resume in Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai, the maya nagri.

After much deliberation and lockdown finally being eased from June 1, the Maharashtra Govt has given SOPs or guidelines to begin shoot.

The annexure attached below categorically has guidelines across shooting departments from casting to filming to ensure Covid 19 safety.

Social distancing and awareness on safety with full accountability is key to the overall cause.

Though challenging, the guidelines mean definite succor for the entertainment industry which is hit hard by the Covid 19 pandemic.

So when will the cameras roll? The answer is… soon.

Says J D Majethia Chairman of IFTPC, “It’s indeed good news. SOPs have been sent, thanks to the Maha govt. Now, all producers, technicians, broadcasters and other custodians will come together to ensure that we create the necessary roadmap to follow the guidelines. In a day or two we will get to know when can we go on floor.”
