Piew Jana, who recently quit the STAR Plus show, Krishna Chali London, is in no hurry to get back to work, for right now she is concentrating on her traditional wedding, which is to be held on 9th Feb, in Gujarat. Readers will remember that Piew, who had also done a small part in Zinadgi Ek Mahek, had a court marriage with fellow actor Manish Mishra in September last.
“After saying I do in court, We quickly wanted to follow it up with the customary wedding, but there were no auspicious dates. Finally, we got one next month. It will be a two day Bengali style wedding. Although my hubby is a Bihari, his family has been settled in Kolkata for years, so love colourful and fun Bong weddings,” says this Bengal beauty.
What about another honeymoon (they had gone to Kashmir in Oct)? “Since it’ll be the Valentine month, we hope to go to Goa. I love beaches.”
Here Piew says that she is quite sad to have had to quit Krishna Chali London. “But you can understand how an actor feels if his/her one year gets wasted. Jhabbo never got her due.”
“I immediately wanted to take up another project and was even in talks for a couple of projects. However, Manish told me to take a break for I get stressed when work things go south. And my loving hubby did not want me to be unhappy in this most important moment of our life,” adds Piew, who has also done a Hindi film called Meri Sai Ram.
“I will surely start hunting for fresh work post March. And this time I will make sure it is a meaty role.”
Piew does not really plan to call any TV actors for her wedding, “As I don’t have any close friends out here.”
