Fans of Colors live singing reality show Rising Star are in for bad news.
If sources are to be believed, the 4th season of this Vipul D Shah co-production might not return in 2020.
The earlier three seasons had Shankar Mahadevan (all three), Neeti Mohan (seasons 2 and 3), and Diljit Dosanjh as judges, among others. Season 3 was anchored by Aditya Narayan.
Normally, every year, Bigg Boss is followed by Rising Star. Rohit Shetty-hosted big ticket adventure reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi comes last.
But this time, with ratings-guzzler Bigg Boss being extended by a month, creatives are now toying with the idea of directly launching Khatron. But no final decision has been taken yet and anything can still happen.
We tried to get in touch with Breathless singer Shankar Mahadevan and Neeti, but could not get through to them.
Producer Vipul D Shah (Optimystix Entertainment), and the channel spokesperson were also unavailable for comment.
