Anupamaa, the Star Plus television daily soap, has become a cult favorite over the years. Starring Rupali Ganguly in the titular role, Anupama has always been at the top of the TRP chart. With its changing storyline, the makers have managed to keep audiences engaged, and now, with the latest reports, the show is set for another major change.
Produced by Rajan Shahi under the banner of Directors’ Kut Production, Anupamaa is likely heading for another major leap. While the show has witnessed several leaps, this one will be different, as this time, except for Rupali, almost the whole cast is likely to exit the show.

Lead actress Rupali Ganguly remains the franchise’s anchor and will continue to headline the series.
Barring Rupali, almost the entire existing supporting cast is expected to exit the show to make way for fresh faces.
The show will introduce a completely different storyline, narrative direction, and chapter.
This is not the first time the production house has executed a sweeping cast clearance. The show saw a similar transition during its major 15-year leap, when core cast members like Nidhi Shah, Chandni Bhagwanani, and Gaurav Sharma departed as the narrative reset and new actors took over.
While there is no confirmation on who will stay and who won’t this time, the show is definitely set for an exciting new journey with a different storyline, narrative, and chapter.
The sudden buzz has left fans questioning the fates of the show’s newest character tracks. It remains to be seen whether the current generation leads—Shivam Khajuria (who plays Prem) and Adrija Roy (who plays Raahi) — will also exit. An official confirmation is yet to be made.
