Everywhere, the buzz is all about ‘The 50’. As the reality show’s release date is nearing, new names have been surfacing every day. However, today, one of the confirmed participants, Shiv Thakare, gets candid about the show spilling beans on his pay cheque and more.
A couple of days ago, Shiv Thakare officially revealed his participation in The 50, sharing the official invite from the Lion. And he announced this whole thing about visiting a temple and seeking blessings for his new journey.
Recently, the Bigg Boss 16 fame was spotted in the town, leaving in his car. The TV personality highlighted that in a reality show, no one gets into physical fights, but it’s just about conversation, as paps asked him.
And when asked what ‘The 50’ is all about, and if he has any idea about it. Replying to this candidly, Shiv said, “Idea kiya hai na, kitna paisa milega (I have taken an idea about how much money I will get).”
Shiv confirmed that the makers are paying for their participation and the contestants are receiving money for their contribution. While he did not reveal the exact amount, he called ‘The 50’ a big and good show. However, Shiv, during his Bigg Boss journey, reportedly charged 4 to 5 lakhs, so this time too, the pay may be around this or higher.
When asked about the claims that contestants won’t get payment, Shiv confirmed that they are giving and everyone is getting money. Also, he refrained from making any controversial comments but seemed excited about his participation in ‘The 50’.
The 50 is a Colors TV and JioHotstar show which will premiere from February 1, 2026.
