It’s official! Shilpa Shinde is returning as Angoori Bhabhi. A few days ago, news of Shilpa Shinde returning to the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain show as Angoori Bhabhi, replacing Shubhangi Atre, made headlines, and now the confirmation comes from Shubhangi herself. She exited the show on a happy note and called her exit “blessings in disguise”.
On her Instagram handle, Shubhangi confirmed her exit, sharing a news article about it and writing, “#gratitude.” However, talking on her journey on the show, she said, “I always promised Mrs Kohli that my journey would begin with aan, baan aur shaan, and that’s exactly how it ends. There is no point discussing the reasons for the replacement. I see it as a blessings in disguise. As an artiste, I want to explore new characters and start looking for work again. I am in fighter mode now, focused on my daughter and my work.”
Further, she mentioned, “It definitely felt like sing home. I became extremely emotional in the last few days days of of the shoot. The charactive had become a part of me.”
In contrast, as Shilpa Shinde returns to the show as Angoori Bhabhi, Shubhangi shared her views in an interview with Bombay Times. She said, “I told my mom that Shilpa left the show after a few months—it felt like she handed me a newborn baby. I raised it for ten years and now I’m returning it with love and values. I genuinely wish Shilpa and the entire team the very best.”
Shubhangi Atre portrayed the character of Angoori Bhabhi for almost 10 years after Shilpa Shinde left the show a few months after joining as part of the original cast. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai started in March 2015, and it has been almost a decade since then.
