The actress, known for her performances in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Piya Ka Ghar, shared her observations during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel.

Narayani claimed that the atmosphere at industry parties has changed significantly over the years. According to her, where alcohol once dominated the entertainment budget, drugs have now taken its place.

“Earlier, there would be a budget for alcohol at parties. Now there’s a budget for drugs. I was shocked when I saw this. That’s why I stopped partying many years ago, because now the parties are not about dancing; they are something else completely,” she said.

The actress further alleged that drug consumption is not hidden in smaller gatherings, claiming that those present are aware of what is happening around them. However, she clarified that such activities are not carried out openly at larger events.

When asked about the substances she had witnessed being used, Narayani named cocaine and MDMA, while she did not accuse or identify any individual from the television fraternity, she maintained that she had personally seen people consuming drugs at industry parties.

Narayani also made another serious claim, stating that there have been occasions when television shoots had to be canceled because certain actors arrived under the influence of drugs. According to her, substance use has become so common in some circles that many within the entertainment industry treat it as a normal part of the lifestyle.

Reflecting on her own experiences, Narayani admitted that she had experimented with substances in the past. However, she emphasized that she never became addicted and consciously chose to distance herself from that environment.

Her remarks have sparked fresh conversations about substance abuse and party culture within the television industry. Since Narayani refrained from naming any individuals or productions, her statements remain personal claims based on her experiences and have not been independently verified.
