In a video shared on Shoaib Ibrahim’s YouTube channel, the couple revealed that they planned to make a stop at Bandra’s popular Elco Market before heading home to Andheri.
The reason behind Dipika Kakar Ibrahim’s shopping stop was rather simple. She mentioned that many of her existing clothes had become loose, leaving her in need of some new outfits. Instead of making the outing entirely about her own fashion label, Dipika Kakar Ibrahim chose to browse through the bustling Bandra market for something she could add to her wardrobe.
The moment is particularly interesting because Dipika Kakar Ibrahim is herself the founder of Label DKI, an Indian ethnic fashion brand that reflects her personal understanding of comfortable and elegant dressing. The brand features a variety of ethnic and fusion silhouettes, including everyday kurta sets, festive Anarkalis, sharara sets and sarees. Label DKI also has its Zewar collection, featuring accessories such as imitation jewellery and jhumkas.
Yet, her decision to shop at Elco Market highlights how personal fashion choices can go beyond one’s own label. Even someone who owns a fashion brand can enjoy discovering pieces from local markets, experimenting with different styles or simply picking up something that catches the eye.
The shopping stop also adds a candid touch to Dipika Kakar Ibrahim’s otherwise polished fashion image. Rather than presenting shopping purely as a glamorous experience, the YouTube video showed a more practical side of her wardrobe routine.
After the Bandra stop, the couple planned to head back home to Andheri, turning what could have been an ordinary shopping errand into another glimpse of their day-to-day life shared with their audience.
