Pearl Grey, known to deliver hard-hitting shows, has now joined in as the fiction and non fiction head of Dangal 2

Dangal 2 is a new channel which will be launching with a new set of shows while Dangal will remain as is with its own bouquet. Dangal 2 will be catering to the masses and classes by and large and we further spoke to Pearl Grey on her decision to head it.

She said, “I joined on the 15th May 2023, Dangal has made its mark not only in the FTA market but has GRPs greater than GECs too. It’s a growing channel and I will be launching Dangal 2 as the Head of Content – fiction and non-fiction. I am looking at content which is relatable to both the FTA and GEC audience. I am grateful to Manishji (Dangal Owner Manish Singhal) for giving me this opportunity and showing faith in the kind of shows I want to pick,because of which I have a bigger responsibility to not let him down.”

She further added: “Audiences get bored too easily or you can say they have access to a lot of content. That’s the major challenge we face when telling a story. So, I feel a mixed bouquet of shows is very essential on any platform.”
