India’s most loved celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ is back with its tenth season and celebrities have put on their dancing shoes. One such contestant who has impressed everyone with her fierce persona and breathtaking performance is actress Amruta Khanvilkar. This week the upcoming episode will be ‘Family special’ where family and friends of the celebrity contestants will make an appearance.
Amruta Khanvilkar’s mother will make an appearance for the Family special episode. In the particular episode, Amruta will dedicate her performance to her mother and Maasi. Amruta and her choreographer Prateek will perform on Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai. She will receive a standing ovation from all the judges and the judges will also give a salute to all mothers.
Talking about her act, Amruta says, “My mother is my actual soulmate. She is my biggest support. If I am today a part of this industry, it is because of her. I lost my maasi recently and I was so close to her. I dedicate my act to my maasi and mom. Thank you for all the applause for my act.”
Karan shares a special message after watching Amruta’s performance, he adds, “My mother has really kept me grounded. Whenever I get an award or I am honoured somewhere, she looks puzzled and asks me, ‘Do you really deserve it?’ That’s great. Whenever I take myself too seriously, she makes me humble within seconds. Even now, when I am 50, I get an earful from her. When I am home by three in the morning, I have to go to her room and inform her that I am home. When I am late and I am among people, she calls me and asks ‘Where are you?’ and I am so embarrassed. My mother is my life’s biggest release and greatest love story. Tujhe Mein Rab Dikhta Hain is so true for all our mothers. They’re our gods and the power of a mother is something else. I was completely floored by the song.”
