At the laundry, Ross and Rachel had a kiss. Ross and Rachel’s connection is undeniable, and in season 1, episode 5, they ultimately have their first kiss.

Ross plays up a rat infestation in his building’s laundry room so he can show Rachel how to do her laundry. For the first time, she must acquire these fundamental life skills in order to claim her financial independence from her parents.

Ross defends Rachel, who is too shy to speak up, while another lady takes the machine Rachel claimed. When she learns that she unintentionally mixed a red sock with a batch of white garments, making the entire load pink, she becomes unhappy. Rachel ultimately defends herself as the same woman tries to take her cart.

Rachel takes Ross by the collar and gives him his first kiss after feeling so empowered by her newfound freedom and strength.

Ross and Rachel have been battling their affections for one another in season 2, episode 7. Now that the connection is more serious, Ross is seeing Julie and is thinking about acquiring a cat with her.

To try to forget about Ross, Rachel goes on a date but ends up getting wasted and leaving him a message. In front of Rachel, Ross hears the message and discovers Rachel’s genuine emotions for him. However, Julie is waiting downstairs for him to go get a cat, so he departs without informing Rachel of his thoughts.

The storm begins that evening when Rachel shuts down Central Perk. In their argument about why they had never expressed their affections to one another before, Ross arrives to inform Rachel that he had not received a cat.

Rachel locks the door after Ross storms out, but he later comes back, so she opens it. They have a passionate kiss while the rain outside pours in a beautiful manner.
