Kumkum Bhagya is an Indian drama television serial now known as Kumkum Bhagya: Doosri Peedhi.
When the story started as Kumkum Bhagya, it was based on two sisters, Pragya and Bulbul and the problems faced by them. Here, Pragya aka Sriti Jha meets a dashing rockstar Abhi aka Shabir Ahluwalia and later falls in love with him. The story mainly focused on the romantic relationship between Abhi and Pragya. However, following their separation, a 20-year time jump occurred, and two new characters named Naina Singh and Mugdha Chaphekar were introduced as Abhi and Pragya’s twin daughters.
This story revolves around the lives of Abhi and Pragya’s twin daughters, their romantic relationships, and their relationships with their separated parents, all in the context of a new generation.

- Sriti Jha – Pragya never gets old with first fighting for her love interest husband Abhi and now fighting for her daughters. Sriti played in various TV shows but got fame after Kumkum Bhagya.
- Shabbir Ahluwalia – Playing Abhi on sets of Kumkum Bhagya, he became the real-life rockstar over every fan’s mind. The actor tried his hand right from TV to Bollywood but, found his love in the TV industry and is ruling the show since then. From being the caring and loving husband to father of two daughters, Abhishek came a long way.
- Mugdha Chaphekar – The long-time actress known for her serials like Satrangi Sasural and Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo is now playing the daughter of Abhi and Pragya in Kumkum Bhagya as Prachi Arora and is loved by fans.
- Naina Singh – Splitsvilla surely gives winners a chance in the TV industry as Naina also was given a chance and she gave justice to it as she is perfectly playing the role of Abhi’s daughter in Kumkum Bhagya. She is the second twin named Rhea Mehra.
- Krishna Kaul – The 21-year-old, interestingly, was on his Roadies journey when he was offered the lead role in Kumkum Bhagya, post the generation leap. And today, Krishna has managed to take his place amid the crowd of young actors on the small screen. He plays the role of Ranbir who is Prachi’s love interest and Rhea’s fake boyfriend.
