The episode of Anupamaa starts with Baa singing Haati Ghoda Palki Jai Kanhaiya Lal ki and doing the Janmashtami pooja. Kinjal and Toshu perform the pooja followed by all the members. Anuj and GK also do the arti. GK looks at Anupamaa while doing arti and imagines Anupamaa performing arti with Anuj. After the pooja, Anupamaa gets the halwa cake for Anuj. Samar says Anupamaa used to make a cake for him since childhood. Anupamaa says that be a small kid or a man, everyone’s birthday is special for them. She thanks Anuj for saving Samar’s life. GK mentions that Anuj is celebrating his birthday after 20 years as he did not celebrate his birthday after his parents expired. Kinjal says they should not get emotional topics. Anupamaa asks Anuj to cut the cake. Anuj cuts the cake and feeds GK. Mamaji jokes. Mamaji says Anuj doesn’t look like he is Anupamaa’s classmate. GK says he takes care of Anuj.
Mamaji says he thought Vanraj was the fittest but Anuj is the fittest of all. Vanraj looks into a mirror and recollects asking Anupamaa to do some exercise and take care of her body. Kavya reminds Vanraj to talk about their karkhana. Vanraj says it is not the right time and will talk to him about it when the time comes. Anuj says they should leave now. Baa and Bapuji ask GK and Anuj to come often to meet them.
Vanraj stops Anuj and asks if they should talk about the karkhana. Anuj says there is no point in talking until his legal team finishes the formality. Anuj asks Vanraj and Anupamaa to visit his office and they shall talk about it there. Kavya says they will go to his house the next morning. Anuj looks at Anupamaa and leaves.
Anupamaa waits until they leave. Vanraj asks Anupamaa what is she waiting for. Anupamaa says his mother taught her not to show back to their guests, so she is waiting for the guests to leave. Vanraj leaves. Kavya stops Anupamaa and asks if she took Anuj’s number. Anupamaa says no. Kavya says now they have to go to Anuj’s office through his manager. She asks Anupamaa to take Anuj’s number from Dimple. Anupamaa tells Kavya that Dimple’s number is there in their telephone diary and she can call Dimple and take Anuj’s number.
Anupamaa sees Samar and Nandini arguing. She goes to Samar and asks if he doesn’t trust Nandini. Samar says Nandini was talking to her ex-boyfriend and did not inform him about it. Anupamaa says she lives with her ex-husband but still Samar trusts her and not Nandini.
Anuj and GK return home and enjoy Anupamaa’s cake. Anuj thanks GK for his support. GK says whatever Anuj is today is due to his hard work. Anupamaa thanks God for sending Anuj at the right time to save Samar’s life. She hopes no one should have problems with her and Anuj’s friendship.
