The episode of Anupamaa starts with Bapuji telling Anupamaa to not let Vanraj and other’s taunts bother her. He feeds her sweet curd and wishes her all the best. He gives her the car keys and says when she is not doing anything wrong she shouldn’t worry. But the decision of whether she will go to Anuj’s office or return home is up to her. Anupamaa takes the car keys, she tries taking blessing from Baa, but Baa turns her face. Kavya taunts Anupamaa, Anupamaa says she doesn’t want to waste her valuable time replying to her. Kinjal, Bapuji and Samar wish her luck as she leaves. At the office, Anuj writes Anu and changes it to Anuj. Anupamaa reaches the office and tells the receptionist that she is here to meet Mr Kapadia. The receptionist calls Anuj and informs him that Anupamaa is here. He looks out of the window and smiles. Anuj goes out and welcomes her, nervously thinking whether Anupamaa will say yes or no.
Kavya provokes Baa saying Anupamaa didn’t listen to her and disrespected the whole family by going to meet Anuj. Anuj asks Anupamaa what she thought about the partnership offer. Anuj says he offered her the partnership because of her talent and not because they were college mates, so she shouldn’t doubt herself. Anupamaa says she agrees to his partnership offer and says thanks to him. She says this is a big deal for her and he needs to teach her small things like opening a bank account, speaking English etc. Anuj asks if she can speak Gujarati, Anupamaa says yes. He says English is just a language and she can communicate in Gujarati as well.
Anupamaa thanks him again. Anuj jokes that she will need a piggy bank to store all her thank yous. He hands her the project details file with GK’s inputs. Kavya keeps provoking Baa against Anupamaa saying people will start bad mouthing about Anupamaa and Anuj’s relationship like they did with Vanraj and Kavya’s. Anupamaa finds magnets in the file and gets excited. She says it reminded her of college days when she used to play with them and lost them in college. Anuj says he found them now, indicating that they are Anuj’s magnets. She returns it to him saying she might lose them again but he insists on keeping them.
Anupamaa says she can’t say shayaris like him and says everything straightforward. She says they were friends in college and will be here too. But he should be like her boss and act strictly with her just like the other employees. Whatever feelings he had for her, Anuj says it won’t affect her at all. Anupamaa says she is now a mother, daughter and a mother in law and leaves the house with respect, so she wants to maintain a professional relationship. Anuj assures that her professional life will not be affected at all. Kavya tells Baa that when a man does something wrong, it’s a mistake but if women do the same thing it’s a sin.
