The episode of Anupamaa starts with Samar telling Vanraj if he wants to see mummy happy he should divorce. Vanraj sits quietly. Samar says he can’t keep mummy on a roller coaster ride when once he says yes and then no. Vanraj says let’s focus on keeping Anupamaa happy than thinking of divorce. He says to keep her happy we have the hide the illness from her as long as we can. He says her each day should be happy from now, Samar agrees. Sameer enters Anupamaa’s room and mimics the doctor reading the report. He says she needs to pamper her younger son 3 times a day with hot water, scold her elder son 4 times with warm water, and pull her daughter’s ears 3 times. She pretends to be in pain, he rushes to help her. She pulls his ears and says pagal badmash chokra and asks him if the reports are fine. He says they are fine and hugs her. He tells her that a patient needs to smile 100 times. Vanraj hears their conversation from outside and smiles. He says he has given Anupamaa pain all the time but now he will give her happiness.
Samar blindfolds Anupamaa and takes her with him. She asks him where they are going. He says at someone’s house she knows but meets very rarely. He opens her blindfold and Samar says it is her kitchen. Anupamaa is happy to see her kitchen stuff. He shows her nameplate and introduces her to herself. She asks him how he did all this, he says Dr Advaith realised she is not happy with the room so he arranged a cottage with all her home stuff. He also says that her old friend is here and shows her the Tulsi plant. She says this Tulsi is just like the one they have in our house. She says she needs to pray before entering the house and performs a pooja for Tulsi. She draws a Swastik mark on the door, Samar says perfect.
She asks Samar how much time is left for her, he gets tensed thinking of if she found out. She asks how long she can stay in this house. He takes her near the door, she gets happy seeing her kitchen utensils and masala bottles. Samar then opens the door, Vanraj welcomes her, Pakhi hugs her. Bapuji and Nandini come near her. Baa comes with arti and scolds her talking about leaving the house. She says she performed bahu’s arti 25 years ago but today she will perform beti’s arti. After arti everyone welcomes her, Anupamaa becomes happy seeing the family picture on the wall. Vanraj offers her flowers. Baa says let us take Thakurji’s blessings. Anupamaa starts performing arti and singing. Everyone is sad but when she turns they smile. Anupamaa notices that they are hiding something from her.
