Karan joyfully joins the family. He enjoys the family gathering. Preeta and Karan do the aarti as Rishabh steps aside. Preeta is seen by Karan. He feels as though he is almost there. Playing hide and seek, Kavya accidentally locks herself inside the safe. She chokes to death. She cries to the members of the family.
The entire Luthra family searches for Kavya before realising she is yelling from another room. Kavya is discovered confined within the safe as they rush to the room. Rishabh breaks the safe using a hammer. To stop Rishabh, Karan yells at him. He promises to open the safe. He quickly punches the safe’s password and opens it. Preeta sobs in Kavya’s defence. Arjun is informed by Preeta that only Karan was aware of the safe’s password. Karan hesitates because he fears that once he opens the safe, everyone would know who he is.
