Today’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 02 August episode starts with Naira (Shivangi Joshi) being disheartened recalling their old days. She realized that Kairav was going through the same thing as Kartik (Mohsin Khan), who also fell ill in his childhood. She recalled Dadi’s guidance words about making special prayers for Kairav. Naira decided to visit the temple and pray for Kairav just like Dadi told her. Naira told Kairav that he was a strong person and will undergo the treatment. She told him that he was very brave and made everyone happy around. She made him distracted by her talk. She took him for the tests. She asked her friend to stay with Kairav. She told her that she would go to the temple and pray for her son. She wanted to pray for her friend’s marriage as well.
She went to the same temple where Kartik and family arrived for the puja. Naira prayed for Kairav by making a special arrangement. Dadi recognized the prayer arrangements and realized that it was meant for a child’s welfare. Dadi told the family that they should also pray for the child’s welfare. They all unknowingly prayed for Kairav. Naira got to see Goenkas and hid from them. She was happy that they all were praying for Kairav. She didn’t want Kartik to see her.
Naira rushed away from the temple. She got emotional on seeing Kartik with Vedika. Kartik prayed to get his answers, which was leaving him so restless. He wanted to know who was in trouble. Kartik didn’t know Naira was close. Naira hid from everyone and went out. Aditya spotted her and questioned her about hiding her identity and existence. He asked her how she could hide herself from the family. He also asked why she made the family believe her death. Naira saw Kartik coming and ran away. Kartik asked Aditya why he was shouting Naira’s name. Aditya told him that Naira was alive and this was the truth. Kartik didn’t believe him.
He knows Aditya is evil and wants to created troubles for him. Naira watched their argument. Aditya explained him that he was saying the truth, he just collided with Naira near the temple stairs. He told Kartik that he will regret a lot when he knew this truth. Kartik felt Aditya can never do well to them and was not his well-wisher. He reprimanded Aditya for finding a chance to strike on their happiness again. He criticized Aditya and asked him not to interfere in their family again. Aditya gathered proof to explain that Naira was really alive. He failed in his move. He told Kartik that he was trying to do good by uniting Kartik and Naira, knowing she was alive.
