The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik telling Sirat that she can never become Naira as she is Sirat Mary Kom Goenka. He says Naira had some qualities like dancing which Sirat doesn’t have and Sirat has qualities that Naira didn’t have. Naira used to perform on stage while Sirat performs in the ring. Naira used to vent her anger by dancing while Sirat vents her anger by punching bags. Kartik says they both are different people and he doesn’t expect her to become like Naira. He says he never tried to change the way she looks or the way she dresses. Kartik says he didn’t marry her as she looks like Naira but fell in love with her personality. He says he loves her just the way she is.
Kartik says he lost Naira and he doesn’t want to lose her. He says Naira became Kairav’s mom first and then his friend while Sirat become his friend and later, his mother. Kairav tells Sirat that he has two mothers, is Naira who is Devaki and Sirat who is Yashoda. He says he loves both, Sirat cries. Kartik tells Sirat to go and change as they want their Sirat back. She hugs him and goes, Kartik turns to others and asks what is wrong with them. He tells them that Naira has left the world and they should stop looking for her in others. He tells them to stop comparing Sirat to Naira. Suwarna apologises saying she didn’t know this would happen. Dadi says she praised her saying she did things like Naira but didn’t know Sirat would want to become like Naira. Manish says we never told Sirat to become like Naira.
Dadi says her mother must have poisoned her mind. Gayu says everything is cleared now. Kartik says Sirat must still be confused. Sirat in her room thinks about what Kartik said. After changing Kairav says she looks perfect. He says Naira is in his heart but she is with him. She goes downstairs but it’s all dark. She sees her pictures on the screen. Suwarna says this girl is Sirat, only her face was similar before but now we also know her heart. Dadi says Sirat has done a lot for the family. She made Kartik smile again and gave happiness to the children. Gayu says she got her sister back. Akhilesh says this house needs Sirat, not Naira. Vansh says Sirat is cool. Kairav says that God has gifted them a mommy. He says Akshu would say the same thing that their mom is best. Akshu calls her Maa. Sirat gets happy and hugs Akshu.
Kartik says everyone here likes Sirat. And she has to stay happy to keep everyone happy. Kartik tells Sirat to promise him that she will never lose her identity and will become an international boxing champion. Sirat says Koshish ka Promise. Dadi tells them to cut the cake. Surekha says that the cake got ruined. Akhilesh says be will bring another, Gayu says some rally was going to pass so they can’t. Manish tells them to do anything fast as he can’t wait till next year to celebrate his son and grandson’s birthday. Sirat gets a cupcake and they cut it. Manish plays music, everyone starts dancing. Sirat sees Kairav dancing on a shaky chair and gets worried.
