The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Dadi telling Suwarna to not feel bad about what Prabha said. Suwarna says she felt good that Dadi spoke in her favour. Dadi says she is the best mom for Kartik and Kirti. Kairav is teaching English to Sirat. Gayu asks what is the need. Sirat says she has an international match so need to know at least little English. Kartik comes and asks if she is okay. Sirat says she feels like puking. Sirat asks why the food stinks. Suwarna says it’s a normal soup that they make every day. Manish asks if she is going to talk bad about food now. Sirat says she is sorry. She says she got a weird smell, so thought that the soup has gone bad. She says it’s probably because of the medicines. Suwarna says she has few old clothes of Kirti which she would like to give to Akshu if Sirat doesn’t mind. Sirat says it will be good if Akshu wears her Bua’s clothes. She goes to get the clothes from the storeroom.
In the showroom, Kartik comes and hugs Sirat. She tells him to leave as anyone can come. He says no one comes here and says there is so much fun in secret romance. Sirat pushes him away. She finds a picture of Shubham and calls Kartik asking who he is. He says he is his stepbrother. Suwarna and Manish’s son. She asks where he stays now. Kartik says he passed away from a drug overdose as he couldn’t handle the pain of Suwarna leaving him. He says mum didn’t tell anyone, but she left Shubham when he was a baby so that he and Kirti wouldn’t get insecure. Kartik says she proved that stepmoms are not bad and there can’t be a mother like Suwarna.
Sirat overhears Suwarna scolding Surekha. Surekha says she just said the truth, and does not care if someone feels bad. Suwarna says she knows how a woman feels when she is called a stepmom. Surekha says that Sirat can’t be like her, once she gets her own child she will ignore Kairav and Akshu. Sirat says it won’t happen as she didn’t have a mother, so knows the importance of a mother. Sureka says let’s see when you have a child. Sirat shows Shubham’s picture to Suwarna. She says she wants to be just like her. Suwarna says there’s no need as she is perfect. Sirat gets a call from the doctor asking her to meet him.
Sirat goes to the doctor worried and asks if she has any serious illness, and she doesn’t want to leave boxing. The doctor says she needs to take a break from boxing. Sirat asks how much time does she have. The doctor says seven months. She says she will have to stop her boxing for few years for the child. She informs her that she is pregnant. Sirat asks if the reports are correct. The doctor tells her to go home and give the family the good news. Sirat gets happy. Kartik calls her and says Suwarna told him what Surekha said, he tells her to not worry about her.
