The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik saying they shall go to the doctor. Sirat says she can smell Maudi’s handmade laapsi. Suwarna comes and tells her to have it. Sirat says it tastes really nice. Suwarna says she got the recipe from the internet. Kartik tells her to eat slowly. Sirat asks for some more. Suwarna says that it’s over. Sirat asks how it got over so fast. Dadi says she ate three plates of laapsi. Sheela comes saying don’t cast bad sight on her daughter’s food. Sheela greets everyone. She tells Sirat to eat as much as she wants. She says that she has made laapsi at home and got it for Sirat. She asks Suwarna why she lied to get the recipe as even she is becoming a Nani. Sometime ago Suwarna called Sheela asking for Maudi’s laapsi recipe. She says she wants to make it for Sirat and surprise her. Sheela thinks she is not foolish. Sheela says Sirat got such loving in-laws and tells her to note down the recipe. Flashback ends
Sheela says congratulations to all. She tells Sirat to see what she has got for the baby. Sirat tells her to go as they will inform her when her grandchild is born. Sheela says if she stays here she can make Maudi’s dishes for her and the baby. Sirat says her family is here to take care of her. Kartik tells the driver to drop Sheela at the bus stop. Sheela says Sirat will need her as she is her daughter. Suwarna says she is their daughter now. Sirat removes her frustration by punching the bag. She asks Kartik why he let Sheela stay with them. He says only Sheela can fill the gap of Maudi. Sirat says she can’t have any good intentions and will try to harm her. Kartik promises they will keep an eye on her. Suwarna apologises to Sirat. Sirat says it’s not her fault. Suwarna says she saw her talking to Maudi’s picture and wanted to do something for her.
Sirat says she hated the word mother because of Sheela but she respects mothers because of Suwarna. Suwarna says she will also become a good mother. Sirat says she will love all her children equally. Kairav hears it and says Sirat loves them a lot, he will take care of the new baby well. In the morning Sheela comes with juice for Sirat. Sirat tells her to stop the drama. Sheela says she doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes that she has done. Sirat leaves asking if she is here for the money. Sheela says she needs money urgently but Sirat won’t give her that easily.
Dadi shows bangles to Sirat and says her Nani gave them to her for her godh bharai. She tells Sirat it’s her turn to get these. Sirat says it looks costly. Dadi says she is giving it to her just to wear for a day. She tells her to think it’s from her Nani and feel her love when she wears it. Dadi asks her to keep it safe and get it polished before she wears it. Sirat says okay. Sheela says these bangles look expensive, all her loans will be paid if she gets the bangles. The next morning the bangles disappear. Dadi says she kept bangles for puja. Kartik asks what happened. Surekha says Dadi’s bangles which were given by her Nani has disappeared. Dadi says they were very expensive. The family suspects Sheela.
