The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Sirat seeing Kartik and telling him that the police are not his staff, who will come and search their house.
Sirat says she has only Naira’s face and not any of her belonging, not even her ring. Kartik ignores Sirat and talks to the inspector. Sirat interrupts him. Kartik asks Sirat to stay quiet for some time.
Kartik talks to the police and learns that Sirat broke the lock of their house.
Kartik asks Sirat why did she break the lock. Sirat says it’s her Nani’s house, and so she broke the lock.
Mukesh comes with Sheela and says that it, not her Nani’s house, and they are forcefully staying in their house. Kartik goes to call someone. Mukesh asks the inspector to arrest Sirat. Nani says Sheela should have some shame as police are arresting her daughter, and she is not saying anything.
Sirat says Sheela has no feelings, and Nani doesn’t have to beg in front of them. Sirat says Sheela couldn’t be a good mother but asks her to be a good daughter and keep her Nani in their house and serve her.
Kartik stops the police and says their lawyer is coming and they don’t have to go anywhere. The inspectors say Kartik can come to the police station and talk to them. Kartik says if the house belongs to Sirat’s Nani, then they can do whatever they want in their house.
The lawyer comes and shows the paper to the police in which it is mentioned that the house is owned by Kalavati (Sirat’s Nani).
The inspector goes through the papers and says they cannot help Mukesh as the house is on Kalavati’s name. Kartik gives the paper to Nani and asks her to keep it carefully.
Kartik tells Sirat that Kairav is sleeping in the car. Sirat goes to the car, carries Kairav and takes him into her house.
Kartik gets fresh and talks to Nani. Sirat makes tea for them. Kartik says they will leave in some time after Kairav meets Sirat.
Nani asks Kartik to stay with them in their house, and she will be happy to serve them.
