Ritabhari Chakraborty And Her Theatre Roots 795366

Ritabhari Chakraborty is a prominent name in the Bengali television and film industries. She earned commercial success in Bengali with the romantic Thriller Shesh Theke Shuru and Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti. Not many know but she started her modeling career when she was still in high school. She made her first appearance on television after her 10th board examination at age 15 as the female protagonist of the popular Indian Bengali television show Ogo Bodhu Sundari.

Theatre Work:

After completing high school, Ritabhari decided to pursue History at Jadavpur University. In 2021, Ritabhari graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles where she attended the UCLA Professional Program in the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and won Acting for the Camera Pitch Competition for her multicultural drama Colors of Silence. Ritabhari was also affiliated with the theatre group Jojok. She had played the character of Charulata (in a theatrical adaptation of Tagore’s Noshtonir) directed by Gautam Halder.

On The Work Front:

Now, she is in talks on the internet for her upcoming film Fatafati. Fatafati is directed by Aritra Mukherjee. She will be sharing the screen space opposite Abir Chatterjee for the first time. The story & Screenplay is by Zinia Sen, dialogues are given by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay, and produced by Windows. Fatafati is all set to release on 12th May 2023.
