Pooja Banerjee is happy that her ALTBalaji web series starring Ronit Roy, Mona Singh, and Gurdeep Kohli is now airing on Zee TV.
“This is the best thing possible for the lockdown has shut down all TV show shoots so new episode banks will soon be exhausted. While on the other hand, our web products which so far have limited reach will get a potential audience as everybody is at home.”
Here Pooja informs that “we have also wrapped shooting for season 3 of the above infidelity show which will stream in due the course of time.”
Zee TV is also airing other ALT shows such as KarleTuMohbahatHai and Baarish.
Pooja is hopeful that more web shows will soon find a broadcast home.
But how will channels deal with the edgy part given S &P (in house censorship) norms? “ Yes, that could be an issue right, for no one will be able to edit out those bold portions. But I feel suggestive scenes should be okay. This is quite reasonable, don’t you think?
Shifting gears to how the lockdown is personally and professionally affecting her, she says, ” es, I, too, have been hit work-wise, while Kasauti Zindagi Kay has started repeats, my new Zee5 series Casino, also starring Sudhanshu Pandey and Karanveer Bohra, will now not meet its 10th April launch date as full post work is pending. Luckily the shoot just wrapped up a couple of days before the shooting lockdown came into force. Most new projects will be subject to significant changes. I fear coronavirus will drag our recession-hit economy into a depression,” she ends.
