Mudit Nayar who has worked in TV shows like Palampur Express, Anamika, Devanshi, Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein etc will be making his digital debut with

the short film ‘Driving Me Crazy’ which will be released on ZEE5.

Mudit will be seen sharing screen space with Govinda’s daughter Tina Ahuja in it.

Talking on his first web work and his experience, Mudit states, “Web is the platform where boundaries of language are blurring. Content originating in various languages is watched globally. I strongly believe that OTT will grow further in coming times and will give actors opportunities to explore themselves more than ever.”

Ask him about his gains from his first work on the web and he quips, “It is too early to say anything on what I have gained on the digital platform. The process of shooting is the same on all the platforms. But I have gained a lot of friends and a great team which I will cherish for life.”

On the short film Driving Me Crazy, Mudit avers, “Driving me Crazy is a very short, crisp, airtight joy ride. It a modern story where two people meet each other through a dating app. This one is particularly special because this has a twisted ending. So I would say that it is a 10 minute crazy ride.”

On the kind of genres and roles he will want to experiment, the actor states, “For me the most important thing is the story and the character. The genre comes after that. If the story is really engaging, entertaining and if I feel that I want to be a part of it – then the genre doesn’t really play any part. I would love to be a part of a crime drama, or thriller or romantic or comedy. But the priority is always the story and the characters.”

Ask him about his dream role, and he is quick to say, “There are a lot of roles that I would love to play. I have a very soft face, so a lot of people approach me for these romantic chocolate boy characters. So I would like to play a part in a crime drama someday where I can portray myself as an investigating officer.”

On working with Tina Ahuja, Mudit expresses, “It was a pleasure working with Tina. We had never met each other before this. We just met a day before the shoot at Poornima’s (Director ) house for a brief session of the script and a small workshop. But she is very comfortable to work with. Being the daughter of a superstar like Govinda she did not have any issues or tantrums. She was very friendly, very cooperative and very easy to work with. And I think as an actor I had very good chemistry and give and take on the set in between our scenes. So all in all it was a great experience working with Tina.”

On his future work, Mudit exclaims, “I have a couple of projects in the pipeline. They are still in the reading session. I haven’t actually begun shooting for any of these projects. They are for OTT platforms but we haven’t gone on floor yet. It is also because of Corona that the projects are getting delayed. As the industry is opening up gradually I believe we will start shooting really soon.”
