Dil Se Deewangi Tak features family drama, betrayal, love, romance, obsession, and emotional twists—all the ingredients that make for a hit show. However, despite this well-crafted blend and high aspirations, this short-format series from Alright TV fails to deliver.
Storyline
The story revolves around several key characters, centered on Abeer Raichand (Vishal Aditya Singh)—a major kingpin in the world of cricket betting. Although Abeer is blunt and dangerous, he is constantly haunted by flashbacks of an accident—an event he has no actual memory of.
At the same time, the show follows Siya Singhania (Yukti Kapoor), a smart businesswoman who becomes emotional when she reflects on the same accident that haunts Abeer—suggesting Abeer and Siya are connected.
Meanwhile, Abeer’s brother, Jahan (Zaan Khan), helps him with his betting business, while Siya’s brother, Shivaay (Prateik Sahejpal), tries to build a career in cricket—all without realizing their lives are, in fact, intertwined. What happens next—is it worth watching? Let’s find out.
Direction, Screenplay And More
The story seems interesting at first, but as soon as new characters are introduced, it becomes hard to follow. It feels like the show tries to tell multiple stories at once, which, at one point, becomes frustrating.
The show earnestly tries to explore the characters and give them compelling stories and arcs; however, it ends up feeling overly complicated—the creators’ intentions don’t quite come through as effectively as they hoped.
The show features plenty of twists and new characters, but despite these efforts, this short-format series fails to generate enough interest to keep you watching until the end.
The film’s background score is very good, and the characters—along with the actors’ performances—are also strong; however, a slightly better story would have delivered that next-level entertainment.
Vishal Aditya Singh looked good as Abeer Raichand, but something felt missing. Yukti Kapoor as Siya commands attention with her confidence, charm, and vibe. Pratiek Sahejpal ke convincing as a cricketer, Shivaay. Zaan Khan looks impressive as Jahan. Akriti Negi is stunning.
Produced by Tabrez Khan and Farhan Asif Khan under the Quantum Leaps Studios banner, Dil Se Deewangi Tak is an ambitious microdrama weighed down by structural flaws. While the performances make it watchable for fans of the cast, the writing needs more refinement to deliver next-level entertainment.
New episodes drop every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12 PM on Alright TV.
