Every week, so many web series release, but not all command attention; the one that stands out is exactly what Amazon MX Player’s Made In India: A Titan Story is—it’s a must-watch tale with a gripping narrative, bold vision, and true grit elevated by strong performances.

The Story

The six-episode series, at its heart, is a tribute to belief—that built a groundbreaking enterprise, Titan Watches, made in India. It shows the journey of Xerxes Desai, a man driven by vision and true grit, and J.R.D. Tata, who put his unshakable faith in him. What makes the story a must-watch is that it is a real story of true inspiration, not just the birth of Titan Watches at its center, but also the vision and grit behind creating wonders. It is a tale of dreams, ambitions, risks, faith, dedication, and the ability to turn dreams into legacy.

Starcast Performances

Jim Sarbh leads the biopic with conviction. As Xerxes Desai, the actor delivers one of his career-defining performances, featuring a layered personality. He brings emotional depth to the storyline, making it feel real. What makes him the highlight is how well Jim shows the vulnerability and determination of a man chasing a dream that seems impossible to many.

Besides Jim, it was the versatile veteran star Naseeruddin Shah who, as J.R.D. Tata commanded attention. He was the driving force behind Xerxes Desai. The actor, with his presence, quietly rules with grace and power.

In addition, other actors like Namita Dubey play their roles with sincerity. At the same time, Lakshveer Saran adds emotional weight, and Kaveri Seth makes it feel authentic. Not just them, but Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Paresh Ganatra, Ashwath Bhatt, Viraf Patel, Joy Sengupta, and Prateeksha Lonkar portray their part with sincerity, making the world feel lively.

Storytelling, Direction, & Cinematography

Director Robbie Grewal deserves all the appreciation. He portrayed the story with maturity, allowing it to connect with the viewers while maintaining the gripping factor. The series, in every episode, packs surprises, and it never rushes but steadily dives viewers deep, keeping them invested.

What I personally loved about the series is the dialogues. Writer Karan Vyas not only keeps the storytelling powerful but also, with sharp dialogues, leaves a lasting impact. For example: “Innovation is always expensive, but when it reaches the distribution stage, it becomes affordable.”

The cinematography also stands out, along with the production design- minute details in the setup, carefully chosen locations, and the backdrop, all of which portray Bombay in the 1970s with perfection.

Produced by Almighty Motion Pictures with T-Series Films, the makers deserve credit for bringing such a powerful story to life. Made in India – A Titan Story is a must-watch tale of dreams, dedication, vision, and the ability to turn the impossible into legacy.
