Shows with real-life celebrity couples enhance audience intrigue. Similar is the case with Bipasha Basu & Karan Singh Grover edgy thriller Dangerous streaming on MX Player.

After their ‘Alone’ time in 2015, their attractive bodies sway to titillate the ooh la la senses of audience in Dangerous. The 7 episodes, helmed by director Bhushan Patel, have its moments of deftness but overall fails to paint an admirable picture.

The story revolves around Aditya Dhanraj (Karan Singh Grover), an apparently ‘struggling’ entrepreneur whose wife, Diya Dhanraj (Sonali Raut) goes missing one fine day. A bewildered Aditya seeks help from London Police Service and the case is handed over to officer Neha (Bipasha Basu). Interestingly enough, it’s not as simple as it sounds. Neha is actually Karan’s ex-girlfriend and the fact that her job demands her to hunt for her ex-boyfriend’s current wife is something that puts her in a spot of bother. However, Neha puts duty as her first priority and starts sniffing for facts. The investigation leads to the fact that Diya Dhanraj has actually been kidnapped. The speculation gets a confirmation in the form of a phone call from the kidnapper who demands a huge ransom from Aditya in exchange of sparing Diya’s life. As more and more interactions related to the case open up between Aditya & Neha, the line between ‘duty’ & ‘long lost found love’ blurs for Neha.

As the mystery unravels and we approach the climax sequences, we get to know that the kidnapper is nobody else but Diya’s boyfriend Vishal with whom she has cheated on Aditya. The climax of this 7 episodic show ends on a rather expected note with not much room for any guesswork or thrill.

As far as plot is concerned, it is old wine in a new bottle. The screenplay fails to thrill us, the hot love making scenes can only do so much to help this failed attempt.

Bipasha and Karan take their bedroom on screen, act like a regular day phenomenon; co-stars Suyyash and Sonali hold their own.

Overall, Dangerous is dangerous for good content lovers. Watch it if nothing else is in your ‘to do’ list for the day.

Sloppy, not salacious!!!
