Baba Jackson, a dancer and social media influencer whose real name is Yuvraj Singh, has accused the creators of The Paradise movie of stealing his dance style, which he uses in his hookstep performance to Nani’s song Aaya Sher. The Romanian talent competition show Romania’s Got Talent made Jackson famous, and he became known through his Instagram page, where he shared video evidence of his allegations.

Jackson posted an old video as evidence of his alleged dance performance, which he considers his main signature move: executing Michael Jackson-style choreography. He used a side-by-side comparison reel to show his 2024 performance of the song Kurchi Madathapetti and the disputed Aaya Sher hookstep, which he marked as a duplicate of Nani’s dance.

The Instagram post quickly sparked debate among fans. Users who watched the video found that Jackson and his father shared similar dance moves, while other users recognised that Jackson had developed new dance styles based on Michael Jackson’s original designs. Jackson declared that he creates new things through his work, while operating as a musician who has developed his own musical style.

Sudhan Master created the dance movements for Aaya Sher as the production’s choreographer. The Paradise production team and he have not yet made any official statements about the allegations of plagiarism. The audience is currently watching active online discussions about the controversy while they wait for filmmakers to provide their official response.
