Popular actor Karan Mehra has been donning challenging roles on the vertical medium, in projects like Fake Waaris, Billionaire Lover Returns, etc. He was last seen in a negative avatar, along with actors Kenisha Bhardwaj and Simran Khanna in a microdrama series, in which he played a husband who cheats on his wife. He will now spearhead a project on TukTuki, wherein he will play a powerful role. The series is produced by Sonu Singh Rajput Filmz. The title of the series is Jaanleva Loan.
Joining him in vital roles in the series will be Pooja Singh and Ipsita. Pooja was last seen in the Star Plus’ show Pocket Mein Aasmaan, while Ipsita was part of the cast of Sun Neo’s show Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri Beendani.
TukTuki, the growing micro-drama platform, delves into original stories delivered in short-format, for the vertically formatted episodes. We at IWMBuzz.com have been writing quite a bit about the upcoming vertical concepts on the platform that are being shot. The platform recently shot for the microdrama, titled Moscow to Muzaffarpur, in which the Russian actress Irina Rudakova played the lead.
This series, Jaanleva Loan, is about a couple who get into a problem situation and how they work their way out of it.
When we buzzed Karan Mehra, he confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, this is my first vertical for TukTuki. I have done a few verticals before, and have been having a great time.”
Pooja Singh confirmed the news, saying, “This is my first on the vertical format.”
