Actors Mridula Oberoi and Jay Zaveri, who were seen together in Sony Entertainment Television’s Appnapan Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan, produced by Balaji Telefilms, will reunite for a new project. They will play a couple in Story TV’s upcoming vertical series. The series is titled Ameer Baap Gareeb Beta, and is produced by Shakeb Sayed Productions.
Calling it a full-circle moment, Mridula Oberoi told us at IWMBuzz.com, “I am excited to work with Jay again after Appnapan. Playing his onscreen wife now feels like a full-circle moment. This is an interesting story, and I cannot talk much about it at the moment.”
Mridula was recently in the news for having shot a vertical series with Balaji Telefilms. Speaking about this year starting well for her, she says, “2026 is unfolding in its own quiet, beautiful way. With surprises I didn’t plan, blessings I didn’t expect, and opportunities that feel divinely timed. I feel grateful. I feel blessed. And I truly believe this is just the beginning—many more surprises are waiting ahead.”
Jay, on his part, told us, “This is my fourth story with Shakeb Sayed and his team. In this project, I am paired with Mridula again after four years, after Appnapan.”
