Milind Soman’s wife Ankita Konwar, the internet personality and entrepreneur who is an Assamese herself, acknowledged the devastating Assam flood in her latest post. While leaving Guwahati, the city in Assam, the internet personality joined hands to vow to bounce back.
On July 31, 2026, Ankita shared a note on her social media, speaking on the Assam flood. Revealing that she left Guwahati today, she wrote, “Left Guwahati today.”
Extending her support, she vowed to bounce back despite the challenges, “All my prayers are with my people.
It’s a long road to recovery, but we will persevere.
We’ve always been so resilient!”
Further, Ankita shared that she is trying to do all she can for the state, reflecting on the fact that she has seen these things in upper Assam while growing up, “I’m doing what is possible at this moment for me.
Growing up, I’ve seen such devastation in upper Assam.”
Ankita then highlighted, “And those were the days without the internet.
Most of India didn’t even know the devastation caused by the floods back then.”
She even talked about finding a better solution for the floods while praying for the affected, “It is time to find a better solution for the recurring floods of Assam. Praying for a strong comeback that stays.”

Recently, Ankita Konwar became the first Assamese woman and the first from Northeast India to complete the English Channel Relay Swim. She swam from Dover to Calais in 13 hours and 5 minutes alongside an international team. Interestingly, Konwar learned to swim just three years ago.
