Lock Upp season 2 has been in the headlines since its premiere, and now the stakes are high as the show heads to its finale week. The latest episode turned out to be one of the most engaging, with drama, heartfelt sacrifices, unexpected confessions, the first finalist, and a shocking elimination.

The episode opened with a future-defining task, “Dawat-e-Jung,” that would result in finding the first finalist. In the big dining table set up, contestants were asked to choose one person to move a step closer to the finale. During the task, Shreya Kalra won a special advantage in the game, while Yogesh Rawat made a shocking choice to keep 10 lakh rupees for himself, for which he was out of the finalist race but was still inside the Lock Upp.

One by one, Laila, Shilpa Shinde, Ram Kapoor, and Akanksha Chamola volunteered to step out of the race, with Shivangi Joshi and Harshad Chopda left. During the task, Harshad made a shocking revelation that he sacrificed himself and lost the previous task for Shivangi, pitching to become the first finalist.

This left Shivangi shocked, and in an emotional confession, she sacrificed and stepped out, making Harshad Chopda the first finalist of the show. While Shivangi and Harshad both pitched for themselves initially, citing that they deserved it, eventually Harshad stuck to wanting to become the finalist, and Shivangi volunteered to step out, leading to chaos in the house.

What’s even more interesting was the part when Shreya was given the opportunity to eliminate one contestant immediately with her special advantage; she took Shivangi Joshi’s name, which changed the game.

Reports suggest Shivangi has been officially evicted from the show; however, several reports claim that she may make a dramatic re-entry and will be in the top 3.
