Shivangi Joshi, one of Indian television’s beloved actresses, is currently in Lock Upp season 2, and during the show, the actress has made a very sensitive and deeply emotional revelation about her childhood trauma, confessing to being molested inside her house.
During the nomination task in Lock Upp, Pamela Sarena decided to sacrifice Shivangi’s secret, and then the keyword “bread butter” appeared on screen, after which the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress opened up about her painful incident from her childhood, alleging she was sexually abused by her “mamaji”.
Shivangi first revealed the secret of her bread and butter, sharing about her tough childhood after her family landed in a major financial crisis. She revealed that her father ran a transport business with a partner and suffered major losses, and after that they couldn’t even afford a meal. She revealed that she helped her family during the tough time from a young age.
After that, Shivangi then confessed to being sexually abused by her mother’s sworn brother, whom she called ‘mamaji’. She said, “I was also molested when I was a kid,” revealing it was her mother’s rakhi brother, and he was a reputed man.
Revealing the real incident Shivangi shared, “Main Mumbai jaa rahi thi actor banne toh unhone uska bahot faida uthaya. Mamaji the toh mummy bhi pura unpar bharosa karrti thi aur hum sab kerte the aur kai bar aisa hota tha ki bachon ko school se lana hai to mai le aaunga. Tabhi pehle pehle mujhe samjh nahi aaya, unhone bola Bombay jaa rahe ho actor banna hai toh acting wali gaadi chalani bhi aani chahiye.
