Aastha Atray, a well-known journalist, recently spoke with Siddharth Kannan, a YouTube podcaster, host, and Radio Jockey, and shared her opinion on why Malaika Arora dates younger men, revealing the bigger and deeper meaning.
While talking about Malaika Arora when the host asked about the actress been given the term ‘Cougar’ on the internet, claiming that she is younger men fetish, and rumors of Malaika’s relationship with Harsh Mehta with whom she has 17 years age gap, Siddharth asked if this could be a PR machinery for the older women to date young guys for brand value and also suits her.
Sharing her opinion, Aastha said she doesn’t agree that it’s PR machinery to date younger men. She then highlighted the point that older men who date younger women don’t get questioned, while there are a lot of men who date younger women with an age gap of 20 years or even 25 years. Pointing out the stereotype, Aastha shared that those men don’t have a specific name for that.
To which Siddharth asked what to name those men, and Aastha said, “Morons or Insecure Men”. Further, she shared that older men want to date younger women because they don’t demand much.
However, when Siddharth pointed out that younger women can also want a sugar daddy, Aastha explained that money is very different from growth as a personality.
Aastha then shared that a 40-year-old woman will be financially independent, and all she would want is a man who takes control, is confident, has a good job, is accountable, and is present—all those things that women after 35 or 40 find more important.
Then she added, for younger girls they need money, which is very easy to provide, like take her for shopping, take her for dinner, buy her something; a younger girl will be happy. While keeping an older woman is much harder because she wants you to answer the text, be accountable, etc., which older men don’t want to do.
Aastha then said calling Malaika a ‘Cougar’ is a very stupid thing because a lot of older men are dating younger women and nobody is asking and because older men don’t want anyonyto question them.
Highlighting why Malaika is not finding an older man to date is because she is confident, independent, successful, and opinionated, and older men don’t want to be questioned. She further explained that when older men get to date a younger woman, then why will they date a woman of their age? Maybe that is the reason Malaika is dating younger men, because they may be seeking inspiration from her. In contrast, a man her age may feel that he has not done enough given her success.
