Rajpal Yadav has been facing financial issues lately, and he has yet again landed in legal trouble following his cheque bounce case. Fresh reports claim that the actor’s two properties in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, are set to be auctioned. Here’s what we know about the buzz.
As per reports by NDTV, the Central Bank of India, Mumbai, has posted an official notice about the auction of the two properties owned by Rajpal Yadav, among which one is located in the city area while the other is in a village in Shahjahanpur. Reportedly, the renowned comic actor is in debt to the bank of rupees 16.61 crore and 64 thousand; however, the two properties reportedly have a value of 3.19 crore.
What’s The Matter
Rajpal Yadav, for his directorial debut film Aata Pata Lapata, reportedly owes dues, and due to non-payment, the bank has taken possession of the properties and has initiated an auction. The Shahjahanpur property includes a farmland, a house in a village, and a property in the city. The auction is likely to be held on September 9, 2026.
In addition, the reports say that Rajpal kept properties belonging to his wife Radha Yadav and his mother Godavari Yadav as guarantors for a loan, and based on that, the bank has proceeded with action against the properties. Also, the process of auctioning some of his properties in Mumbai is also underway.
While these reports are creating buzz, Rajpal Yadav or his legal team has not made any official statement or confirmation about these claims.
