The entire album of Matka King is now available on all leading music streaming platforms

Prime Video and Sony Music today unveiled the complete music album of the highly anticipated Prime Original series Matka King, featuring six original songs. Composed by National Award honouree Amit Trivedi, along with Parag Chhabra, B Prasanna, and Ajay Jayanthi, the genre-blending soundtrack offers a musical glimpse into the spirit, emotion, and atmosphere of the show’s world, set in 1960s Bombay.

From the moment the trailer dropped,‘The Matka King Title Theme’, powered by the infectious interplay of the saxophone and the dhol, became an instant favourite, tying it all together with a catchy, era-appropriate sound that sets the tone for an album embodying both the swagger and tension of the world Brij Bhatti inhabits. ‘Hoga Savera’, a lively, foot-tapping track that captures the hunger to rise and the belief that tomorrow will be different. The rap cleverly echoes the unpredictability of the Matka game, which forms the crux of the story. Another rendition of ‘Hoga Savera’ reimagines the retro version by giving it a more contemporary edge. The incorporation of Mumbai local train sounds gives this one a distinct pulse. ‘Raasta’ brings a more soulful tone to the album, blending classical and modern elements. Built around rich sitar notes and heartfelt lyrics, it reflects the mindset of someone who dares to dream much bigger than his circumstances.

Adding emotional depth to the album is ‘Dhaaga Dhaaga’, a poignant ballad with evocative vocals. Gentle and moving, the song’s lyrics beautifully convey the tenderness of relationships with warmth and restraint. ‘Bhaga Re’ carries an introspective mood, tracing moments of setback and resilience. It is about picking yourself up when the odds seem stacked and continuing to move forward, even without certainty.

The Matka King album entails the following tracks:

● Hoga Savera – Retro is composed and arranged by Amit Trivedi, and sung by Simran Choudhary and Shantanu Raina, with lyrics by Kumaar and Shantanu (rap)
