One of India’s finest comedians, Rohan Joshi cut raw fish for the first time ever, as he attempted to make Sushi on Season 3 of Gobble’s hit show You Got Chef’d. In a conversation with celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar, Rohan shared his views about the stereotypical Indian mindset around men and cooking. “Generally when men are in their 30’s, they are pretty much enjoying that phase in life, their career, family, and more. For us men, learning to cook is least among the priorities, its way more easy going for men. When it comes to women, young girls who are hardly 7-8 years old are told that this is it and they need to learn to cook”, he says. Chef Brar agrees with the ugly truth that is prevailing in our society, but also feels that it is only during the lockdown that men actually understood how difficult it is to cook. He also states that men are now helping out with the process and have also found that it can be a joyful experience altogether.

Has the lockdown turned you into a painter, a fitness enthusiast or a chef?
