Shorya Singh is an elated man as he has a big hand in the co-production of the recently appreciated short film Highway Nights. Highway Nights, which is directed by Shubham Singh, a filmmaker based out in Mumbai, depicts a fictitious story of an ageing, overworked truck driver played by Jha and how he develops a bond with a s*x worker who hitchhikes with him. The short film has versatile actor and filmmaker Prakash Jha playing a pivotal role along with Mazel Vyas.

Shorya is extremely happy as the short has won the grand jury prize at Best of India Short Film Festival 2021. This is not it, the short film is now on the verge of qualifying for the 2023 Oscars.

Says Shorya, “We did not expect the short film to do as successfully as it has done. We are extremely happy with the kind of response it got at the India Short Film Festival 2021. To think that it has opened the window for an Oscar Nomination feels great.”

“Highway Nights is an earnest thought to showcase and understand women abuse,” says Shorya.

Wish you best of luck!!
