A wheelie bin is the last thing that comes to mind when thinking of ways to catch an alligator. However, desperate situations necessitate novel solutions.

When a huge crocodile or alligator comes into a residential area, experts are usually dispatched to remove it. The pros use ropes and other automated equipment to manage large reptiles to ensure that no one, including the animal, gets injured.
However, there is an example of alligator trapping that exhibits ingenuity in an unusual way.

A man uses a trash can on wheels to catch a huge alligator, according to a video published on Reddit. The video starts with the man approaching the reptile carefully while holding the bin in front of him.

On a front lawn, a horrific occurrence occurs. The man is only equipped with an empty garbage can, which is most likely made of plastic. The gator slowly retreats as the man approaches. It suddenly snarls its jaws open, causing the man to come to a halt.

But the man continues to push on, slamming the garbage lid into the gator’s head. He then drives the container forward, successfully trapping the gator inside. He slides the trashcan upwards after a few seconds.

It’s unknown whether the footage is brand new or older. However, it has received over 1.52 lakh upvotes and 4,600 comments on Reddit. Many users praised the man’s brilliant concept. Some, though, believe he should have delegated the task to professionals.
