A video has been released that shows a wounded deer running through a hospital and climbing up an escalator. It’s almost as if the injured deer knew where to go for help. The incident occurred in a hospital in Louisiana, United States, on Monday. The distraught animal entered Our Lady of the Lake Hospital through an open door, stumbled on the slick floor, and made its way up an escalator to the second storey, according to CCTV video. Meanwhile, staff members and guests were taken aback by the unexpected sight.
The deer was finally trapped and held down by many persons on the second floor, including a law enforcement officer and another person in scrubs. The deer was placed in a medical bed and transported outdoors to a truck belonging to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department.

“Our team members are always ready for the unexpected. The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department responded promptly, helping to remove the animal. Patient care has not been interrupted and the area is being thoroughly sanitized,” the hospital said during a statement.
The deer had to be euthanized due to injuries, according to the agency, which added that there were signs it had been struck by a vehicle before entering the building. “While most unusual in any busy regional medical centre, we assume the deer may have wandered in from nearby Ward’s Creek.” Here’s the link to the video:
