Fake news can take many forms. Fake news is a part of our daily lives, whether it’s about politics, health, or the environment. Another piece of bogus news has gone viral on social media recently. This one is about the well-known video game Subway Surfers.

A Twitter user claimed on Wednesday that the designer of Subway Surfers built the game to honor the memories of his departed kid in a message.

SYBO Games and Kiloo collaborated to produce Subway Surfer in 2012. Both businesses are based in Denmark.

SYBO’s CEO Mathias Gredel Norvig was the game’s principal inventor, and despite the fact that the game was co-produced by both studios, SYBO ended up owning the majority of the output.

Norvig highlighted how the game was built as a confluence of his love for street art, skating, passion, music, and street life at the Pocket Gamer Connects London 2018 summit in 2018. The video can be viewed here.

However, once the phony tweet went viral, Google searches for the developer of Subway Surfers, and the story behind its creation skyrocketed.

Meanwhile, it’s unclear whether the Twitter user who spread the phony news did so on purpose or as a prank. Nonetheless, it appears that the joke is on her because everything she stated was proven to be incorrect.
