Aam papad is known by various names throughout India like aamba Sadha, Aamta, amavat, amba vadi, etc. Basically, you can use any type of mangoes and sugar can be adjusted with the sweetness of mangoes. Here we look at the recipe for Khatta Meetha aam papad.

INGREDIENTS:
*Mango pulp.
* Sugar or sugar syrup.
* Cardamom powder and pure ghee.

INSTRUCTIONS:
* Take one ripe mango, peel it and make a smooth puree.
* In a pan, add mango puree, sugar, and cardamom powder and cook on low flame for about 5 minutes till the mixture becomes thick
* Put off the flame. Meanwhile, take a plate and grease it with pure ghee and keep.
* Spread this mixture on the plate. Wait for some time until it gets dry. Cut it into small pieces.
* Sun-dry it for a few days until it turns translucent.
* Scrape the sides using the knife.
Your khatta meetha aam papad is ready. Most importantly you can use any mango for this recipe. If it is sun-dried properly, then it stays for a month. Sugar quantity should be adjusted as per requirement.
