This can rather come as a surprise to all the Indian Game of Thrones fans that Emilia Clarke, the Mother of Dragons is part Asian.
Yes, you heard it right. The British actress who is famously known for her role in the HBO epic fantasy series Game of Thrones as Daenerys Targaryen shared in an interview that she is one-eighth Indian.
Emilia is a famous actress who has starred in several films and television series. Some of Emilia’s films include Solo: A Star Wars Story, Me Before You, Last Summer, and many more. She was also named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.


In an interview with Vanity Fair, the gorgeous star recalled and shared how her grandmother who was half Indian had to rely on beauty products and makeup to make her skin color appear lighter. She said that it was rather very difficult for her grandmother to hide her natural skin color in order to fit in with others.

According to Next Shark, even during Clarke’s Interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she shared that her Grandmother who passed away when Emilia was only 16 years old, had a very soft spot for India.


After Clarke’s granny passed away, she and her boyfriend traveled to India in order to scatter her granny’s ashes in the water bodies. Clarke shared that her granny loved India way more than she loved England. She further added saying that she loved that part of her, the one-eighth part which is Indian.
